Začněme s vaším posledním singlem, co nám k němu můžete říct? A co ten videoklip?
Λ P O S T Λ T E.: Náš nový singl se jmenuje Hermeneutic Circle a stejně jako u našeho předchozího díla Seaborne dělal mix a mastering Mark Jones z Manchesteru v Anglii. Klip, kde hraje Dmitry Alivanov (náš dobrý kamarád), natočili Igor Bruso a Igor Zacharov. O tomto songu si můžete přečíst na našem blogu (https://weareapostate.tumblr.com).
Fedore, tohle je otázka pro tebe. Jsi jediný český umělec, kterého sponzorují TRX Cymbals, gratulujeme. Jak se Ti to povedlo a jak to vlastně celé probíhá?
Λ P O S T Λ T E.: Díky. No, věděl jsem, že lidi v TRX vyrábějí činely té nejlepší kvality, a proto jsme se je rozhodl kontaktovat. Vždycky jsem miloval ručně vyráběné činely. A měl jsem tolik štěstí, že mi odpověděli a stal jsem se členem jejich rodiny. Nemusím dělat nic zvláštního, TRX Cymbals mě podporují a já podporuji je, normální vztah mezi firmou a hudebníkem.
Vaše CD Seaborne vyšlo minulý rok. Kdy se můžeme těšit na další desku? Někdy brzo?
Λ P O S T Λ T E.: V tento moment je našim cílem hrát koncerty, navštěvovat země a města, ve kterých jsme ještě nehráli, a prostě se ujistit, že nás mělo šanci slyšet tolik lidí, kolik to jen jde. Nechceme žádným způsobem další album uspěchat, raději děláme věci správně, ne rychle. A v tomto případě správná cesta znamená smlouvu s vydavatelstvím nebo dostatečně velkou fan-základnu.
Seaborne znamená v překladu “být transportován lodí přes moře”. Má to nějakou souvislost s vašimi kořeny v Rusku?
Λ P O S T Λ T E.: Skvělá otázka. Seaborne nemá nic společnýho s našim ruským původem, i když by mohlo, to je dobrý nápad. Ale bylo by dost těžké se dostat z Ruska do Prahy po moři. Seaborne značí jednu osobu vs. společnost, individuál vs. davový efekt.
Na tohle téma mě napadá ještě jedna otázka. Vy všichni žijete v Česku, tak nějak vás počítáme jako českou kapelu. Jak se berete vy? Ruská, anebo česká kapela?
Λ P O S T Λ T E.: No, vzhledem k tomu, že všichni máme ruštinu jako mateřský jazyk a máme ruské rodiče, tak se považujeme za Rusy. V kapelním měřítku chápu, proč nás lidé berou jako českou kapelu, je to docela logické, protože žijeme v Praze. Myslím, že by se lidé měli víc zaměřovat na hudbu než na původ.
Váš poslední singl Hermeneutic Circle je o vztazích mezi jednotlivci / kulturami a sebe-vnímáním. Co vás inspirovalo k napsání textu o tomto tématu?
Λ P O S T Λ T E.: Pokaždé mě inspiruje to stejné: dobré filmy, dobré knihy a špatná osobní zkušenost.
Před měsícem jste nás informovali o tom, že kytarista Alex odchází (z osobních důvodů). Jak jde hledání jeho nástupce?
Λ P O S T Λ T E.: No, je to složitý proces, ale pracujeme na tom. Bereme to vážně, neboť je to pro nás velké rozhodnutí. Nikdo se ale nemusí bát o to, jak budeme hrát koncerty - máme člověka, jenž s námi pojede tuhle zimu turné. Jen s námi, bohužel, není na stálo.
Jedna otázka zase k Fedorovi. Tvoje střešní video Omit The Words je šílený. Jak tě něco takovýho napadlo? Zbláznil ses? :-)
Λ P O S T Λ T E.: Zbláznil! Vážně, spousta lidí nám říkalo,že není dobrý nápad hrát na bubny na střeše domu v centru Prahy. Říkali, že budeme mít problémy s policií a sousedy. Což jsme také měli. Ale stálo to za to!
Tohle léto jste jeli turné po Evropě. Jak to šlo?
Λ P O S T Λ T E.: Bylo to super. Nečekali jsme tak skvělou odezvu a takové množství lidí na našem prvním turné. Samozřejmě, že každý koncert byl jiný, ale celkově to šlo velmi dobře. Být na turné je nezapomenutelná a návyková zkušenost. Nejhorší je vrátit se domů. Týden po tom, co se vrátíte, je jedinou věcí, na kterou myslíte, touha vrátit se zpátky do busu. Máte pocit, že necháváte své srdce na cestě. Je to zničující.
Nemůžu si pomoci, ale musím se zeptat, jestli tu je něco, na co bychom se v příštích měsících mohli těšit?
Λ P O S T Λ T E.: Samořejmě, neustále pracujeme na nových písničkách a dalších potěšujících překvapeních. Bohužel se s vámi nemůžeme zatím podělit o další detaily. Jediná věc, kterou můžeme říct, je že se v únoru vracíme na turné - Rakousko, Německo, Francie, Itálie. Pokud jste nás v létě netihli, teď máte šanci!
Už je tu zase konec roku. Kde byste rádi na konci toho dalšího Apostate viděli?
Λ P O S T Λ T E.: Ve studiu, jak dokončujeme naše první LP a připravujeme se na celosvětovou tour, abychom albu udělali promo.

Let's start with your latest single, what can you say us about it? And what about the videoclip?
Λ P O S T Λ T E.: Our new single is called Hermeneutic Circle, just as our previous work Seaborne it was mixed and mastered by Mark Jones in Manchester, UK. The video for it, starring Dmitry Alivanov (a good friend of ours) was made by Igor Bruso and Igor Zacharov. You can find a blog about this song on our Tumblr (https://weareapostate.tumblr.com/).
Fedor, this question is for you :-) You are the only artist in CZ endorsed by TRX Cymbals, first congratulations, but how did it happened? And what do you have to do now for them? :-)
Λ P O S T Λ T E.: Thank you. Well, knowing that guys in TRX make cymbals of the highest quality, I chose to contact them. I have always loved hand-crafted cymbals. And I was lucky enough to receive a reply and now I am a member of their family. I don’t have to do anything specific, TRX Cymbals support me and I support them, it’s a normal relationship between companies and musicians.
Your CD, Seaborne came out just last year, when can we await your next album to come out? Anytime soon?
Λ P O S T Λ T E.: At the moment our goal is to play shows, visit countries and cities we haven’t played in yet and simply make sure that as many people as possible get a chance to hear us. We are not going to rush album release in any way, we prefer doing things the right way instead of the fast way. And in this case – the right way means getting signed or getting big enough fan base.
Seaborne means transported by ship over the sea. Does it relate to your origins in Russia?
Λ P O S T Λ T E.: Great question, Seaborne doesn’t have anything to do with our Russian origins, although it could, that is a good idea. It would be pretty difficult to be transported by sea from Russia to Prague though. ‘Seaborne’ is about a person vs. society, an individual vs. Bandwagon effect.
Another question on this theme comes to my mind, you all are living in Czech, we kinda take you as Czech band. How do you consider yourself? Russian, or Czech band?
Λ P O S T Λ T E.: Well, since all of us speak Russian as a native language and we all have Russian parents, we consider ourselves Russians. As for the band, I can understand why people call us a Czech band, it’s quite logical since we live in Prague. I think people should focus more on music than on the origin of the band though.
Your latest single, Hermeneutic Circle is about relations between individuals/cultures and self-perception. What basically inspired you to write a song about this theme?
Λ P O S T Λ T E.: I have the same sources of inspiration for every song: good films, good books and bad personal experience.
One month ago, you informed us about Alex (guitar) is leaving you, due to personal reasons. Well, how goes the search for a new guitarist so far?
Λ P O S T Λ T E.: Well, it is a difficult process, but we are working on it. We are taking this very seriously because this is a huge decision. Nobody needs to worry about how we are going to play shows - we already have a person, who will be on tour with us this winter, but unfortunately he isn’t a permanent member.
One question back to Fedor- your Omit The Words roof video is totally insane. Where did you get that idea from? Are you crazy?!! :D
Λ P O S T Λ T E.: Of course, I am. Seriously, a lot of people told us that it is not a good idea to play drums on the roof of the building right in the center of Prague. They told us we would have problems with police and neighbors. And we did. But it was so worth it.
You were touring Europe during this summer... How did it go?
Λ P O S T Λ T E.: It was amazing. We did not expect such feedback and that amount of people on our first tour. Of course there were different shows but overall it went really well. Being on tour is an unforgettable and addictive experience. The hardest part is returning home. After being off tour for a week the only thing you think about is getting back on that bus. It feels like you’re leaving your heart on the road. It is devastating.
Well, I can’t help myself, but is there anything we can look forward to in next few months?
Λ P O S T Λ T E.: Of course, we’re constantly working on new songs and other pleasant surprises. Unfortunately, we cannot share any details on anything so far, but one thing we can tell you is that we are going on tour in February – Austria, Germany, France, Italy. If you didn’t see us this summer – here’s your chance.

Λ P O S T Λ T E.: In a studio, putting finishing touches on our first LP and about to go on a worldwide tour to promote it.
